Individual Psychotherapy for Adults
I practice from an insight-oriented, emotion-focused, and experiential perspective, which means the focus of our time together will be on generating personal insight and identifying what you’re feeling, noticing, and experiencing in the present moment. I work to create more presence and “in-touchness” through mindfulness, breath work, somatic body movements, guided meditations, active imagination, and visualization practices. My goal is to help you to get out of your head and into your body in order to live with greater peace, confidence and clarity.
I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit before our first session. My fee for a 60 minute intake assessment is $190. Ongoing sessions last around 53 minutes and are $170.
I am licensed in the states of Illinois and Texas. Please be aware that you have to be physically present in either of these states during your telehealth session.
Support Sessions for Loved Ones of Those Struggling with Addiction
Having a loved one in the throes of addiction can be scary, confusing, maddening, and overwhelming.
This service is for anyone who loves someone struggling with addiction (or newly in recovery) and is seeking support in navigating the unique set of challenges that come with this role. Through education, connection, and compassion, lasting personal recovery is possible.
I draw on my past experience working as a primary therapist at a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility to help families better understand the disease of addiction, cultivate their own personal recovery, learn effective tools and strategies to support themselves and their loved one, and process and heal from the impact of addiction.
Support sessions are around 53 minutes and are $200 for families and $170 for individuals. Please note this service is not covered by insurance.
Billing & Insurance
I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans.
I am an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans. If you would like to use your out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a monthly receipt (called a "superbill") that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. It is your responsibility to verify your coverage for out-of-network therapy services before beginning therapy. Some questions to ask your insurance company are:
Do I have any out-of-network coverage?
What is my out-of-network coverage for mental health services?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
What service codes does my plan cover without pre-authorization? [I use CPT codes 90791 and 90837]
Insurance can be confusing to navigate, and I encourage you to reach out to your insurance company if you have questions.
